Nakamura complit Tange ultimate ultrastrong prestige 1995 XT

The front cable hanger had lost its blackness over time

A quick spray of black ontop and a 2k varnish for the lungs later

 I couldn't look at that blob of weld anymore, so it's getting filed down.

The XT Cassette is sitting in soapy water for a few hours, the grime is too hard to remove. I got the bearings on the wheels to deal with now. Tonight the cabling hopefully. Pics to follow.

I have a right if you want

If you have a M732 I would be interested. For this build however, I need to proceed to its completion rapidly, so I'm going to use the gripshifts

arf sorry it's M730 :(

Nice frame.

I was compiling a list of frames that used the Ultrastrong tubes, cant remember if this was on it though, cant find list at moment

Getting there 8). I might change my mind to DX thumbshifters

The seller had 2 different tyres on...ritchey's and michelin country. I only have a spare michelin country style to match.

I had no idea these frames existed until I bought it, doubt it's on there

Update:

I removed the unsightly weld

May have found solution for the thumbshifter, although will be unmatching. Opinions anyone? Matching gripshift or mismatched thumbies?

Sorry for the dark pictures, sunlight is direct over the building.
-Added the old xt pedals for now
-Cleaned the wheels, added brakes
-Need some silicon based grease for the gripshifts as they are dry if I end up using
-Painted the seat tube bolts black as they had rusted. Might aswell reuse them.
- The spare tyre I had turned out to be a 47. The rear is 52. Can't remember whats best, big upfront or rear?

Finished - Seems derailleur cables had locally run out everywhere. Found one eventually.
Remarks> Changed the saddle since (too cushiony for me). Nice and light feeling, balanced when standing. Don't like the placement of top cable guides as they are too close to the headtube requiring flexible cable.
Will test on something more ascent/descent this weekend
