MyHermes Anyone Familiar?

I worked for White Arrow for a while on the IT side, and they used to scan all the non delivered items when they were back to depot, into the cage. I am assuming this is what has happened and generated the misleading notification.

I am perfectly happy to wait until it is actually delivered, but their system should be more accurate.

I have never sent with them, but I received multiple items with them - no problems here

Weekend deliveries etc no problem but the local agent is a neighbour so I might get preferential treatment ?

I did have a frame damaged during transit but that was solely down to bad packing - a dinted head tube, but it was packed without one headset cup (the other was scrap anyway so they might as well have been left in) and wrapped in a bin bag ... What do you expect ... ?

Thankfully a lassie turned up with the package today, and as the item was superbly packed it was intact. Bit cold though, like it had spent the night in a van. Despite the silica packs there was thick condensation all over the place. Once acclimatised, set up and auditioned, and unbelievably well matched to the one it was replacing. Studio monitor. Never met the lass before, she said she had come from Dundee. Long way in a small van I thought, can they really make money like that?

I have used them tons, only had the one problem as Kaz has said, but I do think it was a one off.

My regular collection lady is also very helpful, and takes good care of packing things in her 4x4, I think they do a great job for such little money they charge/get.

As for damage, it's down to being packed properly, I tend to go a bit over the top, but accidents do happen, even with the larger/better/expensive delivery company's.
