Hi all, I'm Paul

How we all doing?

I'm new on here so thought id better say hello and show my current build. Its a Trek 9.7 I've had it since 2010 I got it off ebay with xotic carbon rigid forks on and a singlespeed conversion. It didn't stay that way for long though as a few new toys and bits off the 2003 Trek 8500 I had before I gradually built it up to how it is now. I love it, I mostly use it for commuting to work.

I don't really go off road these days so I generally make my mountain bikes more hybridish.

Im really into my older bikes mostly kona's of the 90's era, my first 26er was a 1998 kona hahanna which I really miss but I had to sell as I outgrew it.

Ive had the trek for quite a wile now so im very tempted to go back to where it all began and get a 98 to 99 kona of some sort. Been through every page of the kona thread on here drooling lol

Anyway heres some pics of the 9.7 it currently weighs around 19.5lbs

Re:

First of all, welcome to the forum!

That's a very smart Trek you have there! Where abouts are you based?

W tend to meet up at times and enjoy riding these old steeds together. You may see the odd Kona out too!
