My sodding tyre just deflated

Sitting here, on here, I notice a hissing, which gets louder and more urgent, so I get up and go and see what it is and the noise leads to my upended bike where the back tyre is rapidly deflating through the valve. Strange, I have never had that before, a duff valve then, but why now, a change in atmospheric pressure ?

Weird !

It must have been reading some of your recent post and decided that just couldn't go on?

Maybe?

There's a gag in here, just waiting to be made, here I'll add the words, you add water:-

hot, air, hissing, deflation

I got a weird puncture several weeks ago :?
I'd been out all day pottering around, probably put in 20miles.I got home left the bike in my hallway and sat down to watch TV.
I was in the house and all of a sudden i hear the whoosh of air escaping and nipped out to see the front tyre flat.On examination it was the valve that went. But strange it would go after i go home. :?
Im guessing the tyres/tubes were hot and it was the cooling down that caused it to blow.I reckon it could really have went at any time so im pretty glad it wasnt 10 miles from home
