My old claud butler is it really worth anything?

hi been clearing out my garage and found my old claud butler it looks old and to be honest the quality of the parts look great I'll put some specs up and some pictures and info on it would be much appreciated especially if it's worth millions lol.

Olympic road on the frame and a metal cb badge on the front

Reynolds 531

shimano 600 gears

world custom japan handlebars sakae sr

stronglight 50 crank

galli brake levers

weinmann type 730 brakes

it's very dirty but been dry stored for over 20 years in my garage,i used to use it for work many moons ago ,any ideas on age? value ?worth doing up?selling for parts?any help would be much appreciated cheers

Hi

Just from the sound of the spec I would hazard a guess early to mid 1970's.

Value greatly depends on condition and basically in these austere days what people think it is worth to them.

Personally I would clean it up put some pictures up when you can and think about riding it :wink:
 
Some nice mid range spec, but I don't think you'll be sat on a fortune. A lot depends on the state of the paintwork. Assuming its half decent and doesn't need respraying, but selling as a renovation project, around £50/£60.

Renovated, polished, new chain, cables, bar tape around £180 would be my guess :)
