I just got this back from the shop. I had a 2000 Klein Quantum Race that was too big for me. I sold the frame and used some of the parts, along with some nice nos finds to make this:

Frame: 2004 Klein Aura XV

Fork: Bontrager Carbon

Headset: cane creek
Stem + Handlebar: Carbon Aero
Bar Tape: Bontrager

Brake Levers/Brifters: NOS Shimano 6500 Ultegra
Brake Calipers: NOS Shimano 6500 Ultegra
Brake Pads: NOS Shimano Dura Ace
Brake Cables: Jagwire Pro Race

Shifters: NOS Shimano 6500 Ultegra
Front Derailleur: Shimano 6500 Ultegra
Rear Derailleur: NOS Shimano 6500 Ultegra
Derailleur Cables: Jagwire Pro Race
Cassette: Shimano 6500 Ultegra
Chain: NOS Shimano Dura Ace
Cranks: NOS Shimano 6500 Ultegra
Chainrings: NOS Shimano 6500 Ultegra
Bottom Bracket: NOS Shimano 6500 Ultegra
Pedals: Shimano 105

Rims: Rolf (have nos Rolf Prima Vigors to be converted from campy)
Hubs: Rolf
Hub Skewers: Rolf
Nipples: Rolf
Spokes: Rolf
Tyres: Michelin Pro3
Tubes: Specialized

Saddle: Specialized Romin Ti
Seatpost: Bontrager Carbon
Seatpost Binder: Klein

Bottle Cage: Carbon

Weight: Not Sure :)

Not exactly vintage, but a bike I will really enjoy. As it says above, I have a set of NOS demo Rolf Prima Vigors. They are Campy, if anyone has a prima freewheel from shimano I would love to swap.

If it doesn't snow tomorrow it's going out :)

Very very nice indeed - great resonance to that paint scheme - looks quick just standing still.

Lovely build.

Very pleased with it after the first ride. It's much smoother and quicker than my Quantum ... And fits much better :)

Man it was cold in the wind though!

Nice bike- sure it would be better in focus though ;-)

On the Rolf's- are they the trek rolfs?? if so, a standard dt 240 freehub body should fit. Don't know if they changed later...

I'm not sure. Rolf is (of course) trying to sell me a full conversion kit for $200+ which is what I paid for the wheelset!

I really wanna use the primas. They are way lighter and apparently great for all round riding (they are the RS model).

They look cool to. I'll snap a less blurry shot of the bike with them on when I get them converted.

Re: fork size?

Hi, can you tell me what diameter the fork steerer is ? I've just taken delivery of a Aura V minus forks so need to shop around for some... Frame is 55cm. Thx Simon
