My Merckx

So a couple of weeks ago my very first Merckx arrived. Not the 7/11 or Motorola version that are popular, but one that I wanted more, a Domo Farm Frites frameset. Especially so given that it's a steel version, not the Scandium version that's known for denting easily.
Fitted with Campagnolo Mirage and a Veloce chainset, this will be my first Campag equipped bike.
So it's now stripped, I'm tidying up the paintwork that was damaged in transit and looking to upgrade to Chorus.
Now looking for a nice seatpost, 27.2, 300mm and silver matching blue bar tape and maybe a Merckx saddle if there is such a thing and tyres to match, although I have some black alternatives to the blue I'd like.

Nice! I have just bought myself a Strada frame that is currently a horrendous fix conversion. Good luck with your updates

Made some progress with this bike. However having problems sourcing a reasonably priced Chorus front mech and a nice seatpost predominantly. But here it is so far. Freshened up levers with new hoods and cables

Small adjustments needed.

Nice cage plus mismatched rims although similar profile. Shame one had a ding that may not end well after some adjustment.

Strip down starting badly. Not letting go. Usual shite filled caliper bolt. Losing the nasty headset.

Time for a clean, T-Cut, polish and paint touch up.

Lucky to get that out, cleaned up the mech.
After which, I cheered myself up with some polishing
