Retro Guru
Hello there! This is my retro bike collection . My collection started with my 1994 heavy tools and after that most of them were donated to me to give them a good home where they would not get trashed :)
But... Now I have a delema I have a baby on the way in April and have to box up all but 2 of my bikes and store them at my warehouse.
That's where you guys come in. I can't deside which one to keep and need your help deciding. Please vote for your favorite and the top 2 will stay home with me and my new baby :D the others I will rotate so they still get used.

The first is my 1983 nishiki bushwhacker

Re: my collection- need help on wich one to keep out!?

I would say that you should keep one of the Pro-Flex out as they can offer a very different ride to the other three and you obviously like them since you have two. With that in mind I am going for the 755 and the lovely Kuwahara

At the risk of sound of sounding like ur other half, Do you really need 5 bikes? id keep either the proflex 957 or the 88 kuwahara and sell the other four making me a bit of cash to put towards being a family man :P

Anyway proflex and kuwahara have my vote

I would sell them off but I just dont think I would get enough to justify getting rid of them. I just think a few years down the road I would regret selling them for what I think I could get for them which I think would only be arund $150 or so.that being said if I was to sell it would be the 2 proflexs and the heavy tools. The kuwaha rides way to nice to sell and the nishiki I find really cool. But thats if I was to sell them I f keep them they all are cool in my eyes and can't deside on what ones I like more :P

SEANSTEPHENS after seeing your Santa Cruz heckler that got me thinking that's the only bike I would sell the 3 I mentioned before to get. I know this is not the place to ask this but do toy guys think my $150 estimation for each is high or low?

Then I saw this one on eBay looks good. Maybe if I can sell the other ones ;) it should take care of my space issue I have enough parts in the bin to build it up

Looks good from what i can tell, has the original shock as well. Probably a bit more than id want to pay for it though but i guess im just going by what i sold mine for

I would list the others for what you'd like to get. $250 is certainly reasonable for the heavy tools in vancouver and list the pro flexs to see if any collectors come forward. You will get more for the pro flex's parted out though. That is for sure. You are probably right, time will make these more valuable, but how old are you? how long do you want to wait? Do you think that in 10 years you will be in a position where that extra couple $100 makes a big difference to you? or does a few $100 less but getting the cash more have a greater net benefit now? I am willing to guess that cash now has a greater net benefit (like a bike you will ride more or a nice stroller/trailer than you would have gotten otherwise)... etc..

Classic Retrobike moment: soon to be father needs to cull the fleet and and in the process chases down another bike. Hats off....
