hey everyone. good to meet you.
i'm a long time biker and first time retrobike poster.
i just picked up a 91 stumpjumper yesterday for an unbelievably low price of $60. it's a little tattered, and was covered in reflective tape, which i'm in the process of removing. I removed the DX canti's and replaced them with some tektro v-brakes. canti's are about the only thing about old mountain bikes i don't like, plus it rains a ton here, and it's nice to be able to stop.
i've had at least 4 older rockhoppers, but this is my first stumpjumper, and i'm pretty stoked on it. i can't believe how much lighter it is than my rockhopper.
like i said, it needs some work, but i'm pretty happy with it so far.
