That's what mine's supposed to look like!!!!!

Unfortunately it's in a box in my garage waiting for me to rebuild it.....

That looks lovely, I was thinking about repainting it in a non original colour (it's been repainted in some sort of emulsion by a wallpaper brush it would appear), until I started taking it apart and found some bits of unfaded Ultra Violet..... It's a truly awesome colour that photos don't do justice....

Lovely bike mate!!! :D :D :D :D

Lovely but £1300.

Thats what i thought but not so bad spread over two years, it is stunning though, superb job, probably better than new.

There is a nice black part restored one in my LBS, will try and get a pic next time i'm in.

Could you post a pic of your 79 "rider" ?

Never did get a Chopper as a kid, wanted one though, parents bought me a gold coloured Panther which was a Chopper copy, pretty much the same, had a sharper shallower seat and a round black knob on the gear stick instead of the T handle.

Still laugh when i think of the safety label on the seat "do not carry passengers", aye right, just about every Chopper i remember when growing up had two kids on it most of the time

spike, its build with I would say 90% NOS parts and they don't come cheap! example front wheel nuts £35,rear mudguard £80, pedals (not in pic) £100 so it soon mounts up!  :D

Jimi, thanks for the nice comments. If I can find a pic of the prizzy I'll put it up.

The 79 looks ace 8), thats exactly the same as the one in my LBS, it has the shimmery stickers too, shop owner said it's a 73 though, would that be right ?
