Retro Newbie
Story so far,

After a few years of being bike-less and faffing about with cars, I've come back to mountain biking. I thought man i used to love my killer V and set about looking for one as a "Hack"! Turns out I can't really do hack, as my thoughts turned to I wonder if anyone has put a lefty on a Killer V? (they have of course) So got me wondering can I put a lefty OPI on one? marry old frame with newish tech and keep it 26"!

She has a long way to go and needs a few bits to complete but here she is.

Full spec:

1998? Cannondale Killer V 800 frame with headshok (medium - I could do with a large)
2013? OPI lefty speed 110mm
Cannondale Lefty stem 90mm
Mavic xm719 rims on XTR 965 rear hub and lefty front hub
Deore disc brakes (Just front for now until I get a disc mount worked out for the rear)
Race face BB
Raceface turbine Cinch crankset with 32T front ring
LX 9speed chain cassette and mech (for now)
GT seatpost and bars (again for now)

get a close look at the steerer clamp shrouds and make sure none are split like mine:

Update!

Disc mount added courtesy of vernon barker cycles.

Paint is off courtesy of nitromors and many hours of faff.

Currently having dents filled and then on to primer!

Cheers

Re:

What about that black to orangey yellow fade that cannondale used to do. It was called volcano or something and used to look great.
