So I have an itouch 16gb..not the latest face one but the very one before it..the one with internet access ..3rd gen

It's okay I rarely use most of what it does but I do enjoy my music so I'm thinking of throwing it on ebay as apples updates/controls are getting on my nerves as much as windows updates

can anyone reccomend another mp3? player thats quality, good battery life, easy to use and no fangdangly oojamaflip..just music..but i do need a screen to see what I am looking at like the apple..also it has to be an easy to use pc system like itunes but with out the unecessary

Any suggestions?

Songbird or Mediamonkey does the Itunes job pretty damn well with most any MP3 player.

Bang for buck, but no screen Sansa Clip, excellent sound quality.

I have a Cowon D2, paired with Soundmagic PL buds.
Sound quailty is FANTASTIC.
Operating system is a bit of a pain but who cares onces it's playing.
It loud too, non of this EU Sound level stop you going deaf Ipod type nonsense.
Battery life is AGES.

I've had no desire to buy a newer music player yet.

Good call, there.

Got a couple of Sansa Clips, thoroughly impressed on all counts with them. And if it's your thing, you can put rockbox on 'em (I've stayed with OFW, though).

Small-ish OLED screen, though - so may not suit everybody if you want more of an itouch size screen.
