Been years since hearing Skins dulcet tones 8)

The Skunks are back together, just had a low key greatest hits album and sell out European tour, three new tracks were released and now they're getting set for the summer festivals and a new album by the end of the year followed by another tour - hoorah! 8)

Is it a similar sound to before or have they progressed??

I used to really like a couple of tracks and kinda like most of the others (that I heard)...

Last night - Marcus Millerand Joni.

I could easily cry every time that I hear "Amelia" - it has to be in my top five all-time favourite songs and the pedal steel on this version is to die for. I wish that I could swap places with that guy on the Stingray V anyway.

Joni Mitchell always was, and still is, amazing...and Marcus - well he is just one cool dude 8) .

Love it. Marcus bridges the gap between the old and new school of bass players. Very few have managed to incoporate the two.
In fact it may more accurate to say Marcus was the start of the new school of bass players.

Joni is one of the few writers/arrangers who can really move me with musical scapes.

I find it quite hard not to be affected by this...
