STILL holding off riding my GT until it's near as dammit finished.

And all that's holding me back now is a pot of copper grease I bought from the bay on Saturday so I can get things bolted up nice..

Expected it today but no, nothing doing . . . and it's been a dry afternoon too!!...

Will be sure to take a camera when I do get out just to show that I do actually ride a bike now and then..

The horrific retail cost of copper grease sent my gave ebaywards. . .

Locally it's about a fiver for a 70g tube.. I got 500g for about £6 delivered off the bay of E.

Borrowed a full pot of genuine "copperslip" from my employer in august 1985.
The pot is still half full..............

This stuff is by Carlube.. and was a gnats under £6

I would go without grease Ian as it only makes your dannys dirty when you work on your bike......nothing worse than dirty hands in my opinion

If you had asked I could have sent you a pot full for...............nada :roll:

Going ahead with the grease, though.. don't want to increase the risk of stuck bits later on.

I hate it when my bits get stuck due to lack of lube.
