thanks so much - the £60 BIN is the exact version by old fella had nicked from our house in the 90s.

he loved that bike and now he will be getting another one!

Both are 1989, I have an '89 with a U which is quite rare as most had Cantis.
They have a bit of an odd makeup with part Mountain LX, Part Exage Country and a really odd 7 speed Uniglide freehub wheelset mix. Mine runs full Mountain LX and they ride really nicely, much better than the latter Neon Green 1990 Models.
This pair both look in really nice condition too.

Quite chuffed. I have a mountain lx groupo in the locker that I was keeping on the off chance a frame would come up.


This one has got all the bits, the u brake and the studded saddle.

The main issue I have is that 20 years ago it was a stretched out ride, so I need to think how to make it an easier ride. Obviously a shorter reach, higher rise stem helps but the original is a unique paint match, so not sure. Risers might be involved also

I don't find mine overly stretched, your old man might be surprised.
