Muddy Fox Courier Comp - 1991 resto

Hi, anyone know the year of this bike? It’s not a mono-stay like the 80’s ones so I’m guessing it’s early 90’s. Just picked it up - please ignore the nasty modern(ish) wheels, controls and crankset. I’ll be putting this back to as close to stock as I can, any info would be helpful. I’m liking the colour and at 19” it should be a good fit for me hopefully..
Thanks

Re:

Cheers, yeah - brainwave, just checked the date stamps on the 400LX mechs - both PA, so Jan 1991.

Update: It’s been a slow burner this one - between doing other bikes, but got it stripped down and the frame cleaned up lovely. Loving the green and gold, I had some original MF tyres and some LX/M400 wheels in my spares so they went on.
Long story short, I’ve started going down the tried and tested restoration route but I’ve been inspired by ‘toastyrides’ on YouTube to change it up and do more of a klunker/cruiser style build this time.
I’ve gone with some backswept bars and I’m fancying building a front rack (anyone seen garysprojects one?) and using this to cruise to the shops for bits and bobs.

Ok, so another bike landed in the workshop the other day and that will serve a better job as a klunker style bike. I’ve pushed on and finished the resto of this Muddy Fox to pretty much period correct spec.
Updated the 3x7 shifters with Deore LX ones but otherwise it’s all Exage 400/500 as it should be, Exage hubs and Araya rims too. Fresh chain and some red Ritchey brake pads finish it off nicely. Can’t wait to ride it. Hope you like. 944F5937-1A32-4F01-84DB-2086C0A164E6.jpeg FBE63226-0600-4CD4-A2DA-B98B2C428A56.jpeg 1594C9A9-296B-41A3-B99C-CF3D0AB93EB5.jpeg
