Some old video of Geoff Apps riding a 1982 Cleland Aventura through some sloppy mud.
By Chiltern standards the mud is pretty tame. Their used to be one narrow stretch of bridlepath that was churned up so deeply churned by horses that it never dried out, even in summer. As a result it was bright green with algae growth.
The worst sections were not videoed or even photographed because we were too busy enjoying the challenge of riding them. One ambition is to video this much more energetic style of riding. However we haven't seen anything like the tradition amount of rainfall for a couple of years now.
