MTB Wheelset (Nothing special)

Hi guys,

I just got a bike (spec rockhopper, 1994) from ebay and the rear wheel brake surface is a bit of a mess.

So... I need a new wheelset, nothing special (AKA cheap'ish)
Preferably with an 8 speed cassette installed, although not a priority as I have a chain whip and the cassette from the old wheel.

I'm located nr Manchester so somewhere close would be preferable to save on postage costs :)

Many thanks,
Rob

I've got a fair few wheelsets laying around here at the moment.

What's you're ballpark budget, just so I can send some details over to you??

I'm hoping for something under 50 quid really, but maybe I might buy something for more if its nice :)

i have a pair of DX hubs on black Ritchey rims you can have for 50 quid posted. Seven speed at present but you should be able to wack an 8 speed on as i beleive they are the same cassette width(could be wrong though).

Hi, you sorted now?

I have a pair of weinmann rim wheels on black parallax style hubs from 99 spesh you could have with 8 speed block for £45 posted - on my rider though so need a good clean.

or a nice pair of Spesh stout on mavics with block and nice red nipples for £85 if your budget is more elastic....

Got an XTR rear m950 on velocity deep section rim you can have if want to replace just one for £50 - non original axle/freehub but I won't tell if you don't ;)

I've some DDG tango wheels with an 8 speed freehub that are available as well..They're reasonable enough and the rear needs a bit of truing but as a result they're yours for £30 posted.. I'll give them a scrub in the morning and send pics on if you're interested :)
