Well since I can't go out I decided to make a start on this Fsr I brought as a box of parts last year.
I've never built a full suspension so it will probably be a long winded old affair.
As usual I can't make my mind up what to do with it so have started with just mocking up bits on it before I start a build proper.

Re:

Mock up looks pretty good to me! I'd be happy with that build
Bombers are solid forks and will probably suit the frame well.
You going with the Magura brakes?

Re:

Probably, they a bit faded but in good working order. Annoyingly I had a good silver set I sold just before I brought this!

Re:

Put a couple of hours in today.
New BB, cassette fitted to matching wheel & got that on, brakes fitted & fettled. shifters stripped serviced & now in working order (annoyingly I have a really good pair but couldn't find them  )
I'll get started on the gears when I'm next off.

Looks great
Cheers Paul!
Had the afternoon off, fitted all the gear cables, pedals, grips (annoyingly the Raceface ones I'd decided to use were badly splitting & I didn't notice till I fitted them) moved the front mech to allow for the bigger chainwheel & hey presto!
Rides surprisingly well.
I've pretty much built this in three or four days, I've not been that fussy with it & it's been the easiest (& because of this possibly) most satisfying build in a long time :D
