Had a great time. Weather was spot on apart from the odd light shower and enjoyed the course apart from the last grassy climbs Pity I forgot to put the timing chip back on for my 2 night laps
Top quality music and heckling from the usual suspects. A bit pissed off that I missed the crashes at the impromptu retro jump site though
And a quick mention for Jonnyboys NZ mate Ben for a top quality wheelie/manual down the home straight and round the top bend to the finish on the finishing lap
I had another top Mayhem! My 3rd year and I have not had the misfortune to experience any of the mudfest's I had heard of. Andy got the Intruder in early and secured our top spot for the trackside camping, and fed us all, and was his usual fog horn self! Big laughs round the washing machine fire, top heckling and like minds always make for a good weekend.
Oh and the riding! The course was the same as the last 2 years I think? It stayed nice and dry despite me doing one of my laps after the one and only downpour.
Great to see everyone and respect for the rigid retro guys!
Don't know how I ended up on Nobby's Fat One! But there you go!
Was great to meet up with fellow retroheads, old and new, and to put ACTUAL names and faces to usernames.
Was a cracking weekend, in more ways than one!
Fantastic course, helped by good weather. Bravo to those rigid riders on some of those downhills though!
As for my race, the less said, the better
I'll be looking for a four man team for next year!
