Mountain Goat serial # project

WHISKYTOWN LITE

Hey Jeff, hope your well?

My WTR LITE's serial no. is W181791

I had it re-painted recently as the paint was pretty poor, shame as it is a NOS frame..

The painter did a superb job..Its getting all black and silver parts and being built very straightforwardly..

GIL M off this site is reproducing my missing CALIFORNIA & the LITE decals..

Thanks, JOE H.

Mountain Goat Joule,
S/N MG50042
Blue pearl but has been resprayed (same colour - it was just looking a bit tatty) and I couldn't get the Joule transfers (shame).
17" I think.
This was the actual frame reviewed in I think MBR magazine some time in the mid nineties but I can't find the review any more.

Any idea on the year of this one? I know the Joule was later but there doesn't seem to be any model or year info in the serial number. Most of the other models were obvious.

Looking at some other serial numbers, the third digit being a "5" should be 1995 but I don't see anything to distinguish a Joule from a Whiskeytown Racer. Does yours have a fork on it?

Jeff,

I bought it new as a frame only I think in 1995. It was bought from sShokwave in Nottingham, UK, where I occasionally worked on weekends when they were short of staff. I think it was the only one they ever imported to the UK. Unfortunately, it lost its tubeset and 'Joule' decals when it was resprayed (Mountain Goat could only supply the 'Mountain Goat' decals) but I still have photos somewhere of what it was like in '95.

R.
