Mountain biking holidays

Any suggestions for destinations that are good for a bit of biking and family holiday? The main criteria is the family bit but if I can sneak in a bit of biking all the better Should be summer destination and abroad.

Italian lakes are outstanding.

You could do the Lago del Garda bike festival, although that is near the end of May. The riding is fantastic and ski lifts are dotted around the area too.

Pacific coast Canada

Try Cyprus, temp nevery drops below 16degs although there will be snow up on the Troodos mountains this time of year but warm sun on the beach.

Try Coral Bay, There are loads of off road trails minutes from the beach also the Akamas Peninsula nature reserve.

Been to Lake Garda could be a good choice.

We had family holidays in the area round Vaison-la-Romaine/Mont Ventoux. MTBing at Ventoux is possible but maybe not without taking a whole day for it. Area round Nyons has enough to keep you going for a couple of weeks with rides of 2-4 hours.

Depending what you want to do of course - there's loads. We'd be going back this year for more if we could.

You could come to California, we have mountains and beaches and plenty of great bike riding!

Pat, I was coming. Got the nod to go to OWMTBC but another bairn on the way means we'll be limited to Europe.
