More new bikes coming up for sale?

Not a bad thing just an observation

As the site becomes more well known and more members joing I've noticed an increase of new..almost new bikes for sale in the retro

is this a good or bad thing?

depends if they are buying and riding vintage bikes after selling their modern. Or think sell to that group of people.
I wouldn't dream of buying a modern bike.I wouldn't bother trying to sell on a site with this title. E-bay would be better to sell the modern bikes?

If you take what's advertised over the year the modern stuff doesn't amount to much....maybe a blip month or two where you see more than average but nothing that detracts from the site...in my humble opinion.

Indeed. I value this forum because I think everyone is generally more clued up than on Bikeradar/Singletrack World etc, but I'm not a hardened retro purist - my daily commuter is a lovely retro but my weekend riding-off-things machine is a modern. I don't think that there's any harm in having some modern stuff pop up for sale. In fact, I think it's good that there are some of us riding moderns too; it means that as a forum, we really are appreciating what's good about retrobikes even when compared to modern stuff, not just liking anything that's retro for the sake of it.
