London. Chaos. Noise. Dirt. People. Lots of People. Hate London. Love London. A place of wonderment and awe in many ways. 5.21pm train. Escape. Home. Change. Clouds clear. Sky open. Head out, look up. Moon and stars play noughts and crosses inside a grid of vapour trails above me. So still and quiet, spare the sound of the revs of wheels gradually warming my legs up. Breath visable across the beams of the halogens. So reflective I hear cars see me 50yds behind. Up into the downs and over to the Man Cave. The boys are in and the kettle’s just boiled. Tea and Oreo’s and chat until it’s time to head back home for Silent Witness and a pizza. Much colder now. A kind of beautiful still encapsulating cold. Makes you appreciate exposure and shelter both. Moon pulling me home like a tractor beam.

Best ride of my life.
