Monocoque single piece MTB frameset, aluminum, composite and

goodyes

Retro Guru
Hello, people, as you may know, I'm a fan of Klein old good stuff.
We'd managed a company during almost 10 years, manufacturing things for Cinematography.
I've gain skills in design (CAD, SolidWorks), we build many components (for cameras, etc.. as well as software) and I'm looking to port with my engineer and my experience, to build something different for cycling enthusiasts and for old and new schools racers.

I managed to design a monocoque (single piece) frame, that I hope will be interesting for the ones of you that like the new technology with the good old stuff.

Currently, we are discussing with a few manufacturers (non b.'s) in the world, to make a few prototypes with (hopefully) production materials (trying to avoid SLS, 3D printed materials) to make this idea comes through.

If you're interested don't hesitate to comment.

Target: MTB <1Kg, monocoque / single or dual piece. Max rider weight 90 Kg.

This (design) will be as you never seen before.

This needs to be in general/1998 onwards.

From the pic it looks like a trimble or alpinestars.

Also with a max rider weight of 90kgs, you won't have many takers on this forum! *lights touchpaper and starts running*

Thats a safe idea. I weight 95Kg, and I want to be able to use and test ythe prototypes as well.
I wrote 90 kg to merely conservative

Re:

What geometry will it be? Modern or old?

I’ve owned sub 1kg mtb frames before and only one that’s been any good was a Cannondale Flash high mod which was stiff and light.

Still pending to decide which kind of steering, current one is designed for 1.5", NOPE.

That handlebar and stem has allready exist in several variants. Like the Gemini Propus ... 149gr all set.

The scale frame is also good. And under 1 kilo.
Agreed they a good frame too. I haven’t owned one of those though.

There is a lot more to how a bike rides than how much it weighs. Especially in today’s world where companies spend lots of cash on eaking (sp) every last bit of performance
