Anyone remember the Mongoose Sycamore? Was my first Mountain Bike bought around 1986/7 as I recall. From memory was quite a good spec. Finally gave mine away to a mate about four years ago when I bought a new Claud Butler Cape Wrath. Probably should have kept it in retrospect.

i had one of these!! it was a 94 version tho 
Mt early one didn't have suspension but was from memory tange and shimano equipped, alloy rims and stainless spokes. Many years of faithful service and only gave it away because of a lack of space.
Not sure how it compared with the competition but was a good price at the time as I recall (i bought two, one for the wife but hers was slightly lower spec)
