Mongoose Amplifier II frame for sale & '92 kona parts OF

The original twin-downtube Mongoose Amplifier's were made by Amp Research, the Amplifier 2s were made in Asia and were essentially the already proven Supergo Access FS copy of the Amp design, relabled with Mongoose graphics. Amp manufactured frames and rear ends (as for example, Dagger used with their own front triangles) all employed Amp's thru-shaft shocks.

I bought this very Mongoose Amplifier 2 frame so just posting here for your information. Early Amplifier 2's were built in the US as far as I know, production later moved to Taiwan. The original stickers on this frame suggest this with two made in US stickers and even the original foil FTW (Frank the Welder) sticker.

Attached is a photo of the bike as it is now. Its not a historically perfect resto job by any means but is fine for me. I'w well pleased with the frame, just waiting to source stickers.

Cheers Ronwetleg, Nigel

Mongo frame

Hi Nigel

Thats is lovely !!

I only ride steel so was no use to me!!

I am so glad you are pleased with it as I knew it was a quality frame and youve done it proud !!

Heres my 93 kona lavadome Ive owned since new, after 1000's of off road miles Ive relegated it to a singlespeed pub scooter with girvins off that Mongoose frame and crossrides and maguras !

ATB.....
