Some one's got an Orange Sub5 in the for sale section. Might be of interest.

That's more like it. But for some reason I'm not excited enough by them to warrant spending £350... cheers though!

Bump... no real rush but I've not got any builds on the go & this is a good excuse to get 2 going! :)

What sort of budget do you have?

As for the Giant, disc brake adaptors are out there. I'd imagine one of those axle-to-brake boss types will do.

I don't really want to get into using adapters - I could make an adapter for my 856 to use a rear disc, and another one to use a better shock. Instead I've decided to keep that retro & get something modern - so it might as well be properly modern.

Budget depends on what's on offer really. If someone's got a suitable Spesh FSR that might well do very nicely, but I'd pay rather more for a Turner 5-spot... Something that'll take a 120mm fork would be ideal.

Go on, whatya got to tempt me?! :)

I'd have to do a bit of research, but probably not what I'm after thanks - I had an earlier iDrive for a while and hated it!

Mine has the shock in a different place to the early ones. (Mine's on the downtube) but that's cool. No worries. 8)
