Modern Boardman Frameset

The arrival of my Rourke means that it's time to part with my Boardman

Its a 2013 Team in size large and the geometry and spec can be found here;

Included is frame, full carbon fork, FSA headset, Hope spacers, Boardman bar, stem, carbon seatpost & saddle, Tektro brake calipers, FSA chainset, rings & BB and 105 front & rear mechs.

Both frame and components are in excellent condition. The paint is deep and shiney with no marks, chips or damage.

This builds into an excellent road bike that I'm only a selling as I need a commuter bike with mud guard fittings.

Asking price is £300 including UK delivery. The bike is located in Chester and can be collected for a little less.

It's full of cables, Allen keys, ferruls and goodness knows what else. I have a garage shelf full of them after Christmas!

What do you think of the Boardman as a bike?

Lovely to ride, nice and stiff when climbing. First time I'd used a full carbon fork and it did feel nice and smooth.

The finish is excellent, a lot better than many other bikes I've seen. The key hole stays in particular are very well executed.

Shame they hold the 'Halfords' tag really but that's why they are such good value to start with I suppose.

I have to agree with the Halfords tag, but Halfords are now selling Pinarellos - so maybe thet 'tag' is now history.

I think it's the staff more than the products. Huge blanket statement I know but that's been my experience.

The staff in Ballymena are very helpful and cannot do enough to assist - sometimes i like to be left alone to look about though! I am never happy!! LOL

I wouldn't trust a couple of the Lisburn staff to pump up a tyre!
