Couldn’t bring myself to sell the Hei Hei bringing potentially frame number 1 from 1991 and a brand I had lusted after when ages 13 in that year, madly sold my Yo Eddy ( and a Yeti ARC) instead to help with the costs of a new house purchase mk one, must love the kona though as she’s still here

When I got the frame it was minus a bb mounted plastic cable guide.
Due to the rear sus frame design it only has a cable guide for the front mech. I bought the single guide pictures but I’m not happy with the diagonal run along the downtube and then angle at the guide, plus although the inner cable doesn’t look like it’ll rub in the frame when bolted to the mech, I’d rather the guide extended around the BB shell more.

Couldn’t find a single guide that looked like it’d work so going to chop this Shimano SM-SP15 one in half.

Even sweeter today

New neoprene chainstay protector arrived from Italy, it’s double sided, black on one side and more importantly grey on the other!
Think it matches the original frame colour well.
