My step-grandad was part of the 24hr race team that the poster is in memory of - Bruce Main-Smith
Very nice, great item to display and definitely keep in the family. I've got a small collection of similar items myself including some very early TT race programs, it's the old graphics on them I love, need to get them framed up.
Just gave his name a Google, looks like he had a great life!

He certainly did live, sadly he fell out of love with bikes but I still have his racing helmet, gloves and goggles stashed away. It’s a distinctive yellow bowl style helmet with black triangle. (Bruce is centre)

As see in this and other pics including the 24hr record.

I note the actual bike was damaged in a fire but was rebuilt and now resides in the National motorcycle museum, maybe they’d like to borrow the bits?
