You seem to have those 8 ounce Scheeren rims, I built a number of these back in the 50/60s. They were a bit fragile when new, so, if you build them do not tighten them like a modern rim. They had an amazing feel on the road with a 6 ounce tubular.
In fact they were so prone to damage in transit that I always ordered them from Ron to be packed inside a crate lot (25 pairs) of other rims.
Mrs, K used hers from 1966 to 1977, and they were then hung up and forgotten, until I sold most of our bikes. They were then polished and built into useful wheels being some 50 years old.

Forgot: The Weimann wood insert had a single strip of wood right round, the Scheerens were separate blocks of some laminated wood curved to fit the rim.
