As I understand it, some forums have votes for a mod if a vacancy arrives and some like this one, if there is a need, the owner approaches someone directly. Consistency is they key when modding beyond that , I don't care who does it, it's upto them.

The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.

Frankly I find the whole thing quite pathetic. Locked threads, offended members, veiled references, talk of bans... and for what? Some vaguely robust off topic discussion in an off topic message board.

I agree with you on that point. The whole point of any off topic part of any forum is to talk about off topic things.

Some of the inputs however explains why we have so many millennials in uni that have clearly learnt the skills from their parents of shut down politics. You know the type " I am all in favour of free speech as long as it is my kind of free speech and if is not then I will attempt to shut you and this topic down". We have had some very fine examples of this within recent weeks and forums that allow this, do themselves no service or favour at all.

That said, some of us have tried to be more understanding of the snowflakes and we will either succeed or fail. For now I'll give it a go, it will either work or it won't.

ok, lets be blunt, there will be no vote for mods, mike muz would probably wield the ban hammer on you lot quicker than we would, i feel i can say this as i know him pretty well.

technodup, wind your neck in, you are the subject of a lot of conversations behind the scenes with lets says extreme posts, if you want to leave please do so, it would save us the hassle of banning you. as for the others, yes you can all be as bad for different reasons, yes i'm talking to you KDM, Bats and HF. most of the locked threads were directly as a slap to you 4.
