Think they folded in 2004, this hasn't had much use, I ran it on a 9 speed to 28 but 8 is better. it doesn't flop about at all and you run a really short chain

I take it that it is happy on shimano shifting?

It worked ok for me on a 12-28 8 speed but wasn't so keen on an 11-26 9 speed
