At least I know where to come to steal the bike (and your Brodie)

Parts are coming together nicely :)

Re:

Happily, I'm too skint to ever go out. Let me know if your coming to the icons do as I could try and put you up. I'm down in Cornwall in 3 days time camping with family, where abouts are you? H

I'm coming to Icono but have already arranged accommodation with grumpy al - thanks for the offer though :D

I live in Pendeen, just outside Penzance; work up in Camborne/Redruth area.

I'm not bloody grumpy.

Not sure how I missed this.... see it next year when you've stopped messing about and pulled your finger out?

al.

Neil's pretty much retired these days....still builds the odd frame though. I'll put up some pics of my crosser later.

Re:

Thanks for the kind words. My builds tend to be as slow as their eventual rider. Just awaiting on another bb to arrive then I'll need to consider to paint or not to paint. TBH, I'm becoming quite adept with cut vinyl and Humbrol paint so I might ride as is (I also prefer patina too). Neil will therefore have to hang around for now (literally, see pic). Thanks Al for the stem cap and bolts. I've managed to fit these, as this is my only successful strategy to avoid loosing them (pic 2). Were you still interested in those gold rings and Ritchey bars? It's no bother to send a link or swing by my LBS on your behalf. Peace and love, H.

Re:

Ahhhhh....the joy of old bikes!

I'm getting pretty close with the bb. It's fitted and only needs a couple of bb lockrings to consider it a permanent fixture. Guess what; my spares box hasn't yielded any.

Question, can anyone send a couple of English thread bb lockrings my way. I would be so grateful. Peace and love, H

By the way Al check your inbox as I have some good news for you : ).

Looks very nice & very British, got the whole Overbury's Roberts thing going on.
Never heard of a Neil Orrell before so interested to hear more about it.
