Are they ano'd or polished silver?
In preparation for having my cranks re-anodised black I have been experimenting with getting a logo on an ano'd part. I've now got some nice cook bros bars
Basically using a fairly strong solution of caustic soda and a reverse decal. Applying the caustic solution carefully with one of those ear poker things and gently making sure all the corners etc are done. Left it on for about 20 seconds then rinse and repeat. Its worked out pretty good on the test set of bars so when I get my cranks back from the anodisers I'll be trying it out for real.

Cunning, do you have any pictures of the results?
The ones I've got are polished, sounds a good method. I was thinking of the reverse decal and trying to lightly media blast without destroying the sticker. Theres a rather nifty device if you google metal etching that even helps you make the stencils, basically anyting you can print can be etched. Bit pricey for the system though.
I'll post a pic of the bars tomorrow for anyone interested. Cranks will be done in a couple of weeks.
I did initially think about media blasting / sanding etc but I don't think the decal would stand up to it. Worth a try if you have polished cranks as you can always polish it out. As always Gil is the man for decals, he did me some reverse ones.

Okay heres some pics of the results I had using the above technique on a set of old bars. Bear in mind these bars were pretty shabby beforehand so the marks around the logo were already there.
Close up you can see its not 100% perfect, but its pretty good I think.
I had already used the 'Racing' part of the logo in another test using oven cleaner, that didn't give as good results.
I'm going to try this on my cranks when I get them back from the anodisers, my main worry is applying the decal centrally
