Nearly everything has come off Retrobike so thanks to everyone who has has a part or 2 in these :)

More pics and parts to follow :)
Going to start with the Merlin which'll have a bit of a retromod.

After about an hour of faffing about before starting  now time for a coffee break.
Merlin now sporting King headset, XTR m952 BB, Syncros seatpost / stem and bars and a white Charge Spoon Ti saddle
Quite liking the look so far.

Well made a start but not as far as I'd hoped....XTR disc brakes and wheels are on. Syncros bars feel too narrow so option to put some risers on perhaps ? Keep thinking the Crossmax would go on the Proflex better. Hmmm :? :?

If this the worst problem Friday the 13th has in store you are doing OK in my book

I like Ti with silver & black with a little bit of blue and white dressing. Plus the other wheelset has rim-brake sidewalls, and the 757, does that have disc mounts?

Enjoy!!

Edited this post as the Proflex is going to have to wait thanks to an offer from a neighbour yesterday to build him up a bike (my old Dynatech) and the Proflex parts will be a good donor for that - I'll keep the frame and fork for another day. The 757 doesn't have disc mounts but where theres a will there's a way .... as if one disc adapter wasn't enough !
Anyway back to the Merlin, so much for 2 days 2 bikes !
If you are at all tempted to do a disc conversion then the Onza / DDG is a good bet but wasn't happy with the alignment from yesterday so have been doing a bit of modding, filing and drilling so now the mount is bolted to the dropout and is rock solid and perfectly aligned. Still looks a bit industrial but is suprisingly light considering and XTR hydraulic discs are just lovely ! :)
