Merlin XLM 19-20" beautiful bike(or frame) reluctant sale

Due to bad back, I am starting to sell some of my bikes (to fund a Windcheetah recumbent if I'm to continue riding longer distances). Hence my '90s pride and joy is up for grabs (this bike has really been riden, it was more of a 'wall ornament' for the past 15 years: <200 miles on ALL components!

I'm looking for offers around £1250 for the complete bike or £825 (delivered worldwide) for the bare frame:

Alternatively I might also be interested in a smaller Merlin frame to rebuild it for my brother , or a recumbent to fit a 6-foot'er, as that is what the sale of this bike will ultimately fund. scroll down to SEE PHOTO - Thanks for looking, I hope this bike goes to a good home. - remember BARE FRAME WAS £2600 in its day this is Merlin's Flagship MTB, and has to be ridden to be appreciated.

Nice bike
sorry to hear that you need to sell

could i have to rear ti cassette if you decide to splitt?

Thanks guys - if I split I will be using all the components to build a similar 18-19" Merlin Mountain or Tiaga or similar for my brother, so only frame OR complete bike available I'm affraid. thanks for your interest and good wishes though. It looks like I'll only be in shortish rides in future (back can't cope with more than 10 miles these days) and get a Burrows Windcheetah for the longer distances - that's the plan. ttfn

PS I will deliver in person in the South East, alternatively will securely box either the bare frame or complete cycle

Hello! Lovely bike.....

In the second photo, is there a slight dink on the right hand side next to the XLM transfer?

Also, any chance of listing the components? What are the cranks, brakes etc?

Cheers!

I may p/x this Merlin for a '90 Klein Attitude

Other components, to answer your question:
- brakes Magura HS33 special edition 'sky blue' with CNC boosters
- cranks TNT Performance products in anodised blue
- Ringle: zookah stem, anti-chain-suck plate, bottle cage, Ti skewers
- Syncros riser bar
- USE ti seat post just fitted as it fits the frame better that the original
- Onza ti-bends bar ends (very desirable, very rare)
- rest of the group is XTR

Indeed - minor cosmetic 'crease' in the to tube shown next to the XLM decal shown in the 2nd photo as this bike's only flaw. I have planned to order a new set of decals and place the XLM decal over it but haven't got around to it. (this was done by a bike shop working on the bike doing the bench stand up tight, as the XLM has such slim tubes in the middle - you have to be very careful, but that is how they made it soooo light. The other thing I will investigate if I end up keeping this cycle is to get Dentmaster to vacuum it out.

very nice, just wondering if it will fit me?

im 6ft tall, shorter leg and longer top half lol, how tall are you?
