Mercier identification help

Re:

Well spotted on the wheels! :D

I imagine they were both the steel ones originally.

I have emailed her a few questions, one of them about the brake parts.

Thanks for your comments, really helpful, I will let you know what happens :D

Re:

I decided to give this one a miss.

I think the steel wheel is likely to be the original and would indicate a very low end model of Mercier, plus with the homemade drilled chain rings and brake levers, this would not end up as a cheap restoration, probably worthwhile if it was a higher quality model.

Thanks for all your help and knowledge :D

Well, if it doesn't ring your bell, then it's the right decision. You'd have to want it as a rider; as an investment it won't work.

Re:

it wasn't to ride, I have ( I know it's sacrilege to say it but...) enough bikes to ride, it was something to do in between restoration jobs on my car :D

Re:

It's a 1956 BMW Isetta 300, 4 wheel and I have just finished running it in since engine rebuild so now it is faster than my bike, just :D
