Mercian Vincitore - 1987 - Blue

Hi All,

I am selling this for a friend who has had a stroke - so it may end up on eBay for Ease but I wanted to test the enthusiasts first as it seems to be an extremely well looked after specimen and has been appreciated by those who have seen it and are in the know.

The Vincitore is Kitted with:

Campagnolo wheels and skewers - the wheels are stickered with MA40, 630 / 27x1x1/4 and Mavic - both have IRC Tyres fitted
Cinelli Campus Handlebars
Shimano 105 Brake Levers
Shimano 600 Simplex Gears
Weinmann 605 Brakes
Stronglight Depose Pedal Stems
Strong (Japan) Seat stem
Madison Seat
Pedals state SP Eleven?

The bike is marked with 687 and 3 on the bottom bracket
Mercian tell me it was the 6th bike made in 1987 by frame builder 3.

The Frame looks immaculate
Let me know if I have missed any important parts out.

I'm looking to achieve £1000 for this and have been told I may do better taking off the Campag parts and selling them seperately but my ideal is for for it to go as a complete bike if possible.

These are lovely.....have you seen what a new vincitore special frame costs?
It's around £1600 +VAT, if I recall correctly..

It's not an unreasonable price to ask, IMHO.

Frame sizes are 26.5" bb to seat and 22" top bar length. Thanks Matt
