Top quality early British built mtb is what i would call a perfect investment platform! It’s what ever I’ve got in the garage. I deffo have an exage groupset in there. Thinking I might also have some xt somewhere.. found the perfect saddle for it though!
Yeah I thought so too. It’s a 2 hour drive which is a bummer but will be a cool addition. Starting to get into the 26 game and have to say it’s been very enjoyable so far. Managed to get a Roberts fillet brazed mtb frame a couple of months ago. Built it up as a gravel bike/rando. Got a cheap Gilles berthoud xl bag for £60 and machined a custom decaleur for it. Also machined some brass flat head bolts and half nut for the campag bar end shifter. The original hardware had been tighten using a hatchet presumably.I would really like a Mercian MTB, would sort of round out the range of Mercian's I currently have and they are pleasingly unusual. A good buy I'd say.
