Measuring bottom bracket

I'm replacing my old cup and bearing bracket with a cartridge because spindle and bearings are shot. It's square tapered type to take bolts from cranks. Its 68mm standard but overall length is 125mm. All cartridges seem to be 122mm or 127mm. Can anyone advise if I should go for the longer or shorter bracket please. Thanks.

What crank is it ?

Its an older shimano tripple (100GS). I'm trying to do up my old British Eagle Zig Zag. It's the first time i've done this so I'm affraid my knowledge and terminology is limited but I'm learning fast! (thanks to this site really).
