I really like it, GF's mom bought me a subscription a year or so ago and its great having it in the letter box. I reckon its great value for money, covers most of the MTB scene, and has been pretty good since the 80's Its great they are keeping writing about different stuff and keeping it al fresh. I'm loving getting back and rediscovering my roots with retro Bike, but love teh inspiration to get into the newer stuff (albeit with a retro view point), Both exciting.

I used to get annoyed by the staffer characters cropping up, just as I do with PPC car mag or teh over exposure of some in retro cars mag but its all good in MBUK, I got over that and enjoy it now.

I see that Retro Bikers want something special, but cyclists are reasonably well catered for with some decent titles. Its great having a choice.

Can anyone do any better? how?

I prefer Singletrack, but you don't get that at the airports I fly from, so I usually end up buying MBR or MBUK.

Singletrack ride articles seem quite well written and aimed at riders as opposed to would be "Gods of the MOUNTAIN"

I quite like it now and again, find it covers a broad range of stuff that I wouldn't normally be exposed to. Its a hundred times better than it used to be anyway, thinking late 90's. Also have to realise middle aged men who don't buy modern bikes aren't the target market

who needs a mag when retrobike is here? No complaints about the staff and it's terrific value too
