the wife shocked me by buying me this months copy  is it just me or has it went right down hill ? (no pun intended)

only bit i enjoyed reading was the mint sauce page

anyone else read it ?

get it now and again, just for something to read on the many flights i take for work

i know this is very un-PC but the guys who run it, faces, really annoy me.

and it doesnt help that they are plastered over the whole mag, front page, all bike reviews, kit reviews, wherever they can, come accross quite egotistic.

i cant remember the old team all over the mag?

i might be wrong but it seems all about the kit and bike parks rather than racers and proper trails.

Never liked it back in the 90's and certainly don't see any reason to change now.
In fact i didn't like any cycling mag then or now

Not since about 2002,i used to get them all,now i cant be bothered to get them monthly.now its just occasionally if i like the cover article

I got one given to me at Christmas time, which is the first I've read in at least a decade... like you, Mint Sauce was the only bit I really enjoyed (possibly because) it seems utterly at odds with the whole ethos of the rest of the magazine!

Used to like MTB Pro back in the day, although MBUK wasn't too bad back then either.

only buy whatmtb and singletrack occasionally

just not the same anymore are they

think we need an "old blokes in sheds with bicycles monthly"

you get it in the motorbike mags ,a new one launching next month too
so why not ?

dragons den ?

i had a subscription to mbuk (birthday present), was ok but as i became more in the know in the bike world you realise its not really that interesting, sort of like youtube in a magazine which you pay for but could search for for free instead. good to read just to fill time though, but when you pay almost £5 now is it? and finish reading it in a day, not really worth it,especially with a resource so vast as the internet. some mags could be good but getting out and riding is always better isnt it
