I'm having trouble justifying continuing my subscription to MBUK and am thinking of Gardeners World as a replacement.......

Is this normal?
Am I old before my days?
Is this a phase I will grow out of?

I'm 31 and a half by the way.....

i have been getting mbuk for over 19 years and have never missed an issue - but i rarely read it nowadays and only get it to be able to say that, i also get what mtb as its more xc, and to keep an eye on whats happening in the world, but yeah, i have thought on many occasions should i quit it

it's not he mag i bought for ten years odd.

if Mint sauce was in What MTB i'd have no reason to even pick MBUK up

+1 on that taffy

i keep buying old copies of mbuk (and others) from the golden age

ross , try model engineers workshop mag its great

Indeed What Mountain Bike is the evolution of the "old style" MBUK (& MTB Pro) from the days of yore. A good do all general MTB mag - covers all bases without going mad on one sub section of the mtb martket (i.e the current fashionable one - IMHO). If only Mint sauce was in it!

The evolution/Fad of fragmentation and specialization of mountain biking has lerd to the mags following the bikes (or is it the other way around?)
AM |& DH flavour MBUK far more than the boring "jut riding yer bike xc" so it makes me feel a bit marginalized and left behind.

I'm only doing what i did some 18 years ago - going out riding up, down, across a little, small air and general fannying about on a mountain bike. This has no marketable niche it would seem
