Mazda Bongo

Our Pajeros have less grunt than that, but they tow beautifully. I have pulled one behind the other on a trailer also loaded with a complete load of roof tiles. Hate to think what the overall load was.

None of my previous campers had anything like 300Nm, as long as you have a decent ratio first gear you can't really go wrong.

They are cool vans, especially in the 4x4 flavour.

I had a 4x4 Mitsu camper in the past, more or less a Pajero with different body, and it was spectacularly able compared to a VW synchro for example.

I would snap their arm off if it is a good price.

:)

we are just looking to trade in the f150 with a town mileage of 13 to a vechile that will reach 18 round town

A couple of years ago me and the ex looked at frendee's and they are japans attempt at the volkswagen bus. The volks is far better an investment and probably better mileage on the later diesels

but that might be the down side..the friendee if dirt cheap will be a summer hoot and you shouldn't loose too much when it comes to resale, if at all

They're pretty cool, powered elevating roof and stuff. Not as big as you might think. Other engine options are available, none of them hugely economical though. Cooling system is somewhat convoluted and can develop issues, and the temperature gauges aren't much use so it's easy to cook them -- the enthusiasts all have additional coolant/temp alarms. And they can rust a bit. But POWERED ELEVATING ROOF :)

I wouldn't have one personally. The mechanicals are complicated, they go rusty, and the fuel economy is rubbish.

For a low budget campervan, with hindsight I would have bought a demountable Romahome. They're very slow, but you don't buy a vehicle like that to go fast, do you? 8)

Fuel is far cheaper in injun terratorrrry

26mpg for diesel is terrible. It makes my 500SEL almost economical!

Still haven't been able to find out anything...,.
But, I'm assuming it's a chum of his father in law who owns it. If it's anything like the Volvo he bought for tuppence last year... :D
