Retro Newbie
I inherited a Maza elite Road bike that was purchased new in the 1990s.This bike was always kept in the house and is in excellent condition. I was told this a very rare road bike and should try to find out information concerning it.I do know from a family member that it was a custom-made Italian bike Italian brothers and that it was used in bike trips in Bike Around America in the 1990s. Would appreciate any knowledge of history of this bike.

Maza was (is) a company formed by a couple of guys (Mattiali and Zanasasi) who had worked for Luciano Paletti who in turn originally trained under Ugo De Rosa and Orazio Grenzi. Paletti developed the modern version of a braze-on for front mechs.
