May Madness Car show

Re:

With the beautiful sunshine and blue skies I am falling in love with sports cars all over again. Spotted this whilst searching for a parking place at the hospital today. Classic Brit sports car!

gotta love summer. car show season.
I'm going to one this coming sunday.
maybe i'll do a thread of pic's as well.
people seem to like seeing old iron.

Re:

I always thought the GT6 was the best version of the Spitfire-that one looks really clean-no visible rust. The owner must garage it most of the time over there. One advantage to living here, unless you live right at the beach year round-cars don't rust... :)

Somewhere in his boxes left to me there is a framed photograph of my grandfather in his 1950s Alvis.

Now THERE was a car! As soon as I find it I will have it scanned.

Re:

Ah, the good old Raigmore circuit! I love the GT6, and have also been inspired recently to actually start working on my MGF again with a view to getting it back on the road. It's not quite a classic yet, but will be quite soon I think... mid engined, rear wheel drive, timeless good looks, decent fun performance without being too powerful and good on fuel. It is also surely the only car which shares components with the Land Rover Defender, Metro and Ferrari 348!

Alvis,my favourite Brit car maker, followed very closely by Bristol. What I`d give to own either one.Keep yer Astons and Bentleys.....

If you know the Raigmore you will have possibly seen the brown Porsche 356. Our friends also run an old Merc and a tatty Beetle.

I am sure the MGF will become a classic. My dad has a lot of old Brit cars waiting to be super valuable.

Keep taking the pills dad.

Been in a Bristol convertible, on the way from London to Bristol, at a full 140 mph, being impressed by my perhaps future father in law. 1987.

Re:

I have a friend in San Rafael who has an AC Aceca coupe, that he installed a 289 Ford in-just like the Shelby Cobras, but a hardtop...
