Whist - I'm not in a position to buy these or collect them, I do feel a little put out that I started a thread about wanting some rims, some one post's some nice rims on that post and then the vultures dive in..... which was kind of funny to begin with.....

BUt now these rims are available they guy that started the thread doesn't even get a look in?

Real shame - generally it seems like a nice comunity on Retro Bike, but I can't help thinking that this is a bit of a piss take..... :x

Prehaps these should be reposted in the for sale section........

Olliepen, I would have thought that these would be offered to you first, it's your wanted ad, I think Rabbit and Gerbils has just made an honest mistake.

I'm sorry if you thought we were hijacking the thread/circling like vultures, but we always thought you would have first refusal. My comment was based on how hard to find and how nice these rims look.

I can't help feeling like I've been made out to be a villain here!
My PM to Rabbits & Gerbils went along the following lines:
"If Olliepen doesn't take the rims, how much please?"
I certainly didn't intend to queue jump! Just wanted to get in the queue!

Gents - I'm not pointing a finger or having a go at anyone. At the end of the day, I can't afford or collect the rims. I just thought that I shoud have first refusal if it ever got to that point... Which it appers everyone agrees with.

Retro bike is one of the friendies internet forums I have come across - I don't want people to start thinking I'm pointing the finger at them or get the impression that there is any bad feeling....

I just felt that I had to say something when I read Rabbits and Gerbils last post.... I'm over it now and looking for a Avocet racing saddle - anyone?
