I bought this set a long time ago and had always fancied some Dakar hubs to bolt them on to but have spent too long looking for a reasonably priced pair and now lost interest in them.
Condition wise I don't think they've been ridden much as the CD coating is in nearly new condition and the decals are untouched.The Shimano exage hubs are smooth and built with stainless steel spokes (the rear has a bolt on axle but can be changed to a quick release in 20 minutes), there's a 6 speed block on at the moment but a 7s will fit and guessing they must've been built up in about 89/90 maybe and built with stainless steel spokes.£85 SOLD
Tyres are mega fast Specialized 1.5 Crossroads and Trek's own brand Matrix CDX 1.5 and the tread wear is minimal again and i think they were attached to the Mavic's when i bought them.£20 the pair. SOLD
